Sandals To Die For

We know you have already switched your wardrobe from the shivering fall/winter to the sweating spring/summer. You’ve got sundresses, belts, shorts and maybe even new undies. But how about a few pairs of sandals to die for?

We New Yorker aren’t that lucky to have the perfect sunny weather 24/7. When we do, we must take full advantage of it and show off our precious pedicure. Here are some of our suggestions:

1. Red Fauz Suede Mesh Ruffle Thong Post Sandals 2. Purple fauz Leather Mesh Ruffle Thong Post Sandals 3. Silver Metalic Faux Leather Shiny Beaded Gemstone Sandals 4. Blue Faux Suede Tier Scale Thong Strap Zipper Sandals 5. Pink Fauz Leather Floral Decor Thong T Strap Sandals all from AMIClubwear.

Or for a more sophisticated look, you can go with 6. Birdie(Natural Multi Smooth colored straped) and 7. Calla (Nude Smooth with a printed polka dotted bow) from Jelly Pop.

We are very confident that you can rock these shoes like no others can!

Jewelry Must Haves For This Summer

This summer is all about making big and bold statements, from colorful ethnic beading to exotic gems and stones. The “it” jewelry for fashionistas are layered bracelets, sexy tribal necklaces, and funky neon rings. It must be bright, bold and oh so chic!  Bee Charming is a perfect fit by pairing serenity with glam with the Buddha face rhinestone stretch bracelet. For a bit of gold, try Guy and Eva’s Cielo Canary Necklace and Earrings set for a hot Tribal look this summer.  You’ll be around the world, wearing these jewels, and you don’t even need a passport!

Neons for Summer

We’re loving the new neon swimsuits and boardshorts that are appearing in stores and on surfers up and down the West Coast. It’s a look we plan on copying out here on the East Coast as well. Modern, chic, and oh so sexy, we love these new waves of vibrant hues.

The Met Ball: A Grand Affair

Last night, the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Gala was filled with celebrities, designers, and of course, fashion. The Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibit featured designs from the industry’s strongest Italian women, Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada. Everyone showed their support from Gisele Bundchen and hubby Tom Brady to Florence Welch, Beyonce, and Marc Jacobs. Check out some of our favorites from the night: Coco Rocha in bright yellow and pink vintage Givenchy, Gwyneth Paltrow in Prada, Jessica Alba in Michael Kors, and Camilla Belle in Ralph Lauren.

The Kentucky Derby: Big, Bold and Beautiful!

It’s that time of year again- fancy, bright hats make their spring debut at the famous Kentucky Derby! Over the weekend, thousands flocked to Churchill Downs and as always,  vibrant and over-sized toppers covered the stands. It really is the perfect occasion to be creative and have a little fun with fashion and color. Red, yellow, and orange seemed to be the most popular color choices of the day, with ‘the bigger the better’ mindset all around. We especially loved Ginnifer Goodwin’s racing red ensemble! Below are some of our favorite looks from the weekend.

Sydney Fashion Week Recap

We loved the designs appearing on the runways in the land down under. Known for a laid back look that stateside fashionistas covet, the Aussie designers did not disappoint. We especially liked the whimsy of Alice McCall’s breezy lace dresses, and Oroton’s bright shirtdresses. Some of the street fashion was note worthy as well! Overall Sydney put on quite the show, but who would expect anything else from the lovely Aussies?

Collar Inside the Lines

Taking a fresh twist on an old classic, collar tips are adding spark and personality to blouses. This Shop Sosie blouse with accents of neon green is a great way to start if your shirt is not already embellished. Add Bottica’s pink neon tips with gold stars for a splash of color and ta-da, you have your very own collar tip! Or for a more classic take try the white River Island shirt with diamante tips or clustered pearls on Blogger Love Maegan’s soft pink top. Even Swarovski has their own version with bejeweled tips, a sure way to catch anyone’s eye. So before you round up your friends to go, try adding a shimmery new accessory to your collar.
